A Couple That Loves to Make
After his first taste of Voodoo Doughnuts' bacon maple bar, Bryan vowed to dedicate his free time to making the best damned donut possible. By using high-quality ingredients, and making nearly everything from scratch, he's come up with donuts that taste vastly different from what you'd typically find- a denser, slightly savory and substantial treat. After sharing this delicious discovery with friends and family, it became clear to us that folks were hungry for something different and deep-fried. From that point, we sought to fill that void in Sacramento- the gourmet donut hole, if you will. Saving money, making donuts out of our kitchen for friends, scouring Craigslist for deals on equipment that would spend the better part of a year in our garage- all leading up to opening our storefront at 2226 10th Street.
